James, I think you have done a good job so far on your blog. More specifically, your SketchUp model is coming along well, however I was unable to identify the word you have based your model on? The way you have used different textures to distinguish diferent surfaces is effective. The only small criticism is that maybe it is a bit too much of just a 2D model stretched out? I am having the same problem myself though so I understand your situation. Well done.
